Vivemar, being an NGO, collects the necessary funds to support this project through the releases with tourism. Of the 100% of the turtles that we release into the ocean, 10% is destined for release with tourism.
Daily we release hundreds of sea turtles at night, we make this space in the afternoons to share this experience with you, join us and together let’s save sea turtles.
night monitoring
You have the opportunity to support the organization by joining the night patrols in which you will have the opportunity to protect and preserve the nests of sea turtles that come out at night to lay their eggs.
The hours for the night patrol are from 9pm to 12am, you must go to the volunteer house so that the monitor can pick you up there, the location of the volunteer house can be found on google maps or you can request it from the project coordinator through the chat.
This activity is recommended for people who want to go even deeper into conservation processes and do not have the time to spend a volunteer stay.
The cost of the night patrol is $1,500 MXN and this must be set aside with the camp leader Hugo Mar Ibanez at the number +529541269558 to check availability.
Every day we have baby turtle release!
We have baby turtle release every day from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. You do not need an appointment. Just go to the place, if you have doubts about the location you can look for us from Google Maps. We have a recovery fee which goes directly to conservation.
We have release throughout the year since of the 7 species of turtles that exist in the world we protect 4, of which the olive ridley is present all year round and from October to March it is the season of leatherback, brown and hawksbill.
If you want to release turtles you can visit us in any of our pens:

With your contribution, in addition to benefiting the aforementioned, you will have a certificate of contribution to the environment, a special mention in our networks and of course photographic and video evidence of the turtles released into the sea thanks to the nest that you protected.
NOTE: VIVEMAR is an altruistic project that receives genuine donations that do not adhere to our nest adoption program, any grain of sand makes a difference.
