For more than 3 years VIVEMAR has been carrying out beach cleaning work on the 27 km of coastline that we protect. We are aware that currently the use of plastics is one of the biggest environmental problems that plague the whole world, mainly harming the ecological balance in the ocean. In Puerto Escondido alone, the municipal landfill receives between 7 and 9 tons of garbage DAILY, of which more than 50% are single-use plastics. This season VIVEMAR has managed to collect more than a ton of plastic, which has been confined to the Plastic Jungle for its final disposal and due recycling.
