Mision

That the community on the coasts of Oaxaca can make use of their natural resources through sustainability, since in this way a balance between nature, the community and the economy is maintained.

Values

Vivemar is a Cooperative Society that works for the conservation of the environment, the community and its economic development. This through Regenerative Tourism, environmental education, Ecotechnics and different nature conservation plans, generating jobs within the same community that encourage the correct management of natural resources, and of course through ethics and respect for the environment and society deserves.

Vision

Regenerating the coastal ecosystem by integrating the local community, children, youth, and visitors from around the world in order to raise awareness in society to develop a genuine interest in nature conservation, strengthening and empowering the community through education and employment opportunities that allow for community development.
Forming strategic partnerships with the community, tourism, and potential allies.

Objective

Managing to transmit the true message day by day to all the people who join Vivemar, whether it is in a turtle release, volunteering, as collaborators or as spectators (social networks), that is; united, adding from our smallest action the change of perspective towards the environment, getting people to develop empathy and genuine interest in caring for the environment. Generating a true change of consciousness which gives rise to a true change in society.

VIVEMAR has grown thanks to the support of all the people who add their grain of sand. We have realized the great importance of raising awareness in the communities of the Oaxaca coast, in all the people who join this project and in all the people we reach through cybernetic means, in order to generate a new model of life that maintains sustainability as a basis, that is, that nature, society and the economy can remain completely balanced. In this way we can guarantee a real change.

That is why we have been strengthening our skills to raise awareness through ecotourism (release of turtles, volunteer program and patrol nights), environmental education, beach cleaning, organic agriculture, eco-techniques and of course through the ethics, values and LOVE that are a fundamental part of achieving this great mission.

Through all the activities we carry out, we achieve that people have a unique connection with nature which generates an experience, an emotion that improves man’s perspective towards nature.

At Vivemar we provide tools that show people how to move around the planet with the least possible impact.

Our achievements

Since 2011 Vivemar has carried out different activities in favor of the conservation of Birds, Mangroves and Reptiles, specializing in sea turtles, thanks to the management plan for non-extractive use, which has been granted year after year by the Red de los Wetlands, as well as altruistic beach cleaning activities, environmental education for community children, environmental education during the release of turtles on the Bacocho and Agua Dulce beaches, likewise Vivemar generates jobs within the community itself, in turn generates jobs for local professionals and those from other entities in order to develop their skills and aptitudes through a symbiosis of knowledge. We offer employment opportunities through the Youth Building the Future program,

• Currently, and despite the COVID adversities, Vivemar has managed to stay on its feet and maintain its skills and aptitudes in continuous growth, achieving very positive results. We currently have 4 incubation pens. Which are located in Bacocho Beach, Punta Colorada, Agua Dulce and Palmarito, it has 3 Honda TRX ATVs and 2 Italikas ATV250, with which they travel within the community and the beach to carry out their conservation work. In the current year, we have endured adversities, demonstrating their skill and administration by their founders, and they managed to open the Punta Colorada corral, which is currently the largest, thus increasing the chances of conserving the species of Sea Turtles that arrive in this part of the beach such as Laúd and Prieta turtles.

• Vivemar begins and opens the Volunteer House located in Bajos de Chila, which has a volunteer program focused on the conservation of Sea Turtles, Environmental Education, Conservation of species, Recycling and beach cleaning. People from all over the world are received with the aim of adding knowledge, sharing experiences, increasing scientific knowledge and developing our skills. The Volunteering plan offers a new panorama, perspective towards the environment and life models. Making this volunteering one of a kind.

We are currently one of the most well-known and outstanding turtle camps in all of Mexico, all the work and dedication on the part of the team has achieved a work model, ethics and values in which the level of environmental education, conservation and preservation of the environment is increased.
